Towson High school will be bringing back the annual faculty basketball game on Friday, March 15 at 3pm! Doors open at 2:30, right after school dismisses. There hasn’t been one since pre-covid, so teachers may be a little rusty. Unfortunately with the loss of Mr. Geckle, there will be a limited amount of dunking. Nonetheless, the lineup is looking pretty promising! It’s said that the teachers like to go all out despite their age. Injuries are definitely possible, such as a twisted ankle… (Mr. Dalsimer). The teachers seem very excited to go head-to-head and make the students laugh. It’s rumored that teachers are trying to convince Dr. Culbertson to participate. It should be an entertaining and funny match. Definitely better than any March Madness you’ll be watching this month.
Everyone is welcome to attend, all that is asked is that you bring a piece of ‘pre-loved’ clothing as a donation for your admission. The purpose of this is to promote sustainable clothing practices, and give your old clothes a new home after you don’t want them any more. I think this is a great idea as fees to enter sports events get annoying and discourage students from attending. So bring an old t-shirt you don’t want and get excited to watch this NBA quality basketball game!
