As the air grows colder and the weather shifts to snowy days, the urge for warmth arrives.  

People enjoy hot beverages when the season becomes winter. To remedy this, coffee and hot chocolate is consumed. A sizable population of students from our school drink these beverages, and they usually go to the local Starbucks on the corner of York and Bosley. 

Starbucks is no stranger to the holiday season, and has plenty of creative drinks to sell to the Towson population, ranging from the classic Christmas Blend to the wild Christmas Tree Frappuccino, there is something for everyone. Here are three of their special offerings this holiday season. 

First, we have a simple smash up: the Eggnog Latte. This latte is made with a shot of espresso and some steamed eggnog. Eggnog is a classic, if somewhat infamous, holiday drink that blends well with coffee.  

Now for the chocolate lovers, you have to try the Peppermint Mocha. The peppermint mocha brings the classic candy into a sweet mocha with some whipped cream. Starbucks themselves call it a classic, and people love it. 

Last is the new, crazy, Christmas Tree Frappuccino. Its base is a blended icy mix of mocha and peppermint, with matcha whipped cream, topped with a strawberry “star.” The drink is a new special, with only limited availability in stores, much like the Unicorn Frappuccino that came out earlier this year.
