Senior Wall
Every year on PSAT day the annual senior activities day commences and the wall in the senior cafeteria is signed. Signing the wall is like a ritual for all the seniors at Towson; by signing that wall, you are officially a senior at the school.
Since I’m a class officer, I was able to help design and paint the wall. We first created a poll for the grade to participate in about what phrase they wanted on the wall. The winner was “GO B1G OR GO H8ME.” After we found out the results we went straight to painting and the wall was completed in a couple of days.
The activity day started out with a breakfast filled with bagels, fruit, and muffins- which is a pretty awesome way of starting the school day. It was spirit week, so all the seniors were decked out in their jerseys for Jersey Day. It was an exciting and fun atmosphere that morning. When it was time to sign the wall, no one could wait any longer.
The class officers and I handed out sharpies to the whole grade and before we knew it, hundreds of names were on that wall. I talked to some of the seniors as they waited on line and all of them mentioned how they couldn’t believe they were already seniors. Senior Lily Heneghan said, ” It seemed like just yesterday I was a freshman and now I’m signing the class wall. Time flies!”
Signing the class wall is one of the aspects of senior year at Towson that everyone can’t wait to do. Senior year is moving so fast already but I can’t wait for other fun activities with my grade before graduation.
