Towson Students to Perform with the BSO
Sixteen students from Towson High School were selected to participate, by audition, in the Baltimore County side-by-side ensemble, which provides students with the experience to perform, well, side-by-side with professional musicians from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
In addition, senior oboist Leo Sarbanes was chosen to be this year’s Young Soloist, meaning that he will get the opportunity to play a concerto (a song written for a solo instrument accompanied by an orchestra) with the BSO accompanying him. Twelve other musicians from around the county also tried out for this position.
Congratulations to Leo and all of the Towson students for this prestigious accomplishment!
