“I went to Italy with my aunt, my two cousins, and my grandparents. We flew into Rome, then went to Tuscany, Venice, Cinque Terre, and finally finished back at Rome. Cinque Terre was probably my favorite because we went on this beautiful hike through the mountains right next to the sea, and along the way we stopped in all these cute little cliff-side shops.”

Caroline Bohnenstangel, grade 11

Cinque Terre, Italy

July 12 – 27

“This summer, I went to band camp for the second time. It’s such an amazing time, even if it gets hot and frustrating at times. We have to learn the whole drill in a week, so things can get pretty stressful. However, we always end up feeling like one giant family by the time camp ends.”

Isaiah Smith, grade 10

Camp Ramblewood, Maryland

August 10-15

“I went to Israel for 5 weeks. The most memorable part was when we built a raft by ourselves, even though it was really hot outside. The fighting impacted the trip because we couldn’t go everywhere we planned on going, but it was still overall very fun.”

Rose Alon, grade 11

Sea of Galilee

June 31 – August 8

“Over summer vacation, I went to Cancun, Mexico with my family including my grandparents and some close family friends. We stayed at a nice hotel with clear ocean views from the balcony. We went to “Isla Mujeres” where we ate and partied. I got to drive a motor boat around the marina where we saw dolphins jump in the air.”

“This summer I went to California to see one of my best friends. It was the farthest away I’ve ever been from home, but it was so much fun! I went to Los Angeles and got to see the walk of fame and Rodeo Drive.”

Caroline Miller, grade 9

Los Angeles, California
